My Review:
My kids couldn’t wait to get their hands on these new Wii Remotes. They are hip and in great colors. They fit my 5yr. old daughters hand very much better then the regular sized remotes. They just love these new,comfortable remotes. They fight over using them, so I need to go and buy 2 more. These would make great gifts for any Wii gamers. Especially in my opinion for children gamers since they fit their hands so much better.

Activision’s 10 Minute Solution for Wii. “10 Minute Solution” is a fitness Wii game based on the popular fitness DVD series of the same name.

“10 Minute Solution”, the videogame, lets users customize their workout in ten minute blocks while getting feedback and tracking progress. The workouts consist of the user’s choice of cardio boxing, mixed games, and step aerobics at varying levels of difficulty. This game is compatible with the Wii Balance Board for feedback but can be played without it. The games price is $19.99.

With the “10 minute solution” program, you are able to customize your workout sessions to tailor them to your own needs. There is cardio and strength training regimen’s that you can work out through. There are 3 levels to choose from for the cardio-boxing (my favorite because it is something different), mixed games, and step aerobics. The “10 Minute Solution” program works with the Wii balance board as well.

This program also includes tips and information from Jessica Smith, who is a renown fitness spokesmodel.

I like that I can start off working out at a lower level and work up to higher ones. My heart get’s pumping every time I have used this so far. I also like how it tracks my progress as I complete levels so I can decide when to go on to higher ones.

The Your Shape Challenge is now in it’s final week. I would like to conclude with a final wrap up about my thoughts, feelings, and idea’s about the fitness program by Ubisoft. Also I would like to share my final results.

The 12 week challenge I just participated in was the longest running challenge with my blog I have participated in. I must say, it has been a fun, invigorating, frustrating, exciting, disappointing, stressful, energetic, blissful ride. And even though the official challenge is over, I do intend to keep with doing the Your Shape program, along with other fitness programs, and also continuing to go to the gym, and walking outside too.

I didn’t reach my goal of losing all the weight I wanted (there was no way in 12 weeks this could occur anyways without a miracle) but I feel like the Your Shape program has given me a jump start of a beginning!

I also intend to fully maintain eating healthier too, not just me but my whole family. We have started these little steps already and have accomplished so much in these 12 weeks, I am not going to fall back and lose that.

I have been sick the past few weeks, so I have gotten off track and have actually gained a few pounds back, but, I am not going to let this deter me from getting back on the bandwagon.

The support of the Your Shape Team Leader (@StacieinAtlanta) has been phenomenol, as well as Brooke’s (@austinbrooke). I have also met (over the phone and twitter) @YourShapeGame who is fitness trainer -Laurel House. She has given great advice and tips on how to keep on track. Lastly, but never leastly  is my crew of wonderful ladies who all participated in the challenge along with me. They are phenomenol and we have all had our ups and downs and shared pains, happiness, excitement, and defeats, and triumphs with eachother. They are an amazing bunch. The Your Shape fitness program for Wii, is a great tool to use when you cannot get outside, goto a gym, or if you like to be able to work out in your own home. The work outs it selects for you are geared to your specific likings. They are hard, this is a REAL work out. Some may think, oh this is for Wii and it is a game, well, I kid you not, it is for real, you will feel the burn, the pain, and the sweat. You will see results if you keep up with it, and change eating habits and make bit by bit changes towards a healthy lifestyle.

While I think the Your Shape can have a few changes to the camera, to make it pick up better, some great idea’s I have read are to create arm and leg bands that can pick up movements better on the camera. The camera part of the Your Shape is very innovative and neat. It motivated me to want to lose weight cause I looked so awful on the screen, especially next to Jenny McCarthy, who is sensational looking! I also enjoyed the great updated music that the game plays to work out to.

All in all I think this has been a great challenge and I am grateful to have been a part of it. To Wrap it all up, below I have entered my results.  (Please remember everyone’s results from it will differ).

Weight – total lost = 12 pounds in 12 weeks! (not too shabby)

inches lost :

arms = 2 inches

waist = 4 inches

hips = 3 inches

calves = 2 inches

shoes = no change

neck = 3 inches

The above are all measurements I have taken.

I feel that if I wouldn’t have been asked to do this challenge I would have fell off of the Healthy living bandwagon months ago and wouldn’t have had even close to the above results. It isn’t only measurements and numbers that count either. I feel better, I feel more energetic. I get up and move more. Prior to doing this challenge I led a pretty sedimentary lifestyle. Now I am up and moving as much as I can all day long. I don’t get winded like I used to and I just feel better.

I am a little behind on my updates for the Your Shape Challenge I am part of. Last week I lost 2 more pounds, but this week I gained them back   I am not discouraged though. It has been 9 weeks now, and I am starting week 10 today, and I have lost 13 pounds total! Not too shabby, I don’t think

What has been even bigger to me, has been my endurance and energy levels.  Until I got sick over this past week end I was going to the gym, being more active with my kids, and doing house work and not being as tired as usual. This is huge for me because until this challenge I was VERY sedimentary and took a lot of naps all day long.  I am feeling better and happier too.

One of the Challenges a couple weeks ago was a “Different type of exercise” for all of us challengers. I was so intrigued by it, and loved to read everyone’s answers, that I would love to share it here with you all as well. As well as share my answers with you.

This is an easy question but some found it harder to answer then others. Mainly because it seems that inside of being a woman and a mother we often put ourselves last on the list, and we don’t think of ourselves on our “high horse”.  We can tell others what they are good at, and we can tell our children what their talents are, what we love about them, and how they can achieve anything when they just try. But all too many times, we do not take this advice ourselves.

Here is the Question, followed by my answers :

LIST 10 THINGS THAT YOU LOVE ABOUT YOURSELF!!

1. I am a hard worker when I set my mind to be.
2. I am a wonderful mother.
3. I am a wonderful and Faithful wife.
4. I am a good cook.
5. I am a wonderful and everlasting friend.
6. I love that I am a pretty good writer.
7. I love that I have the ability to help others sometimes.
8. I have a wonderful memory.
9. I love that I can float when I go swimming, lol (cause my husband just sinks)
10. I love that I can tend to be funny at times and make people smile.

This exercise was pretty simple for me to accomplish because I think about this often just to help me cope with my depression.

When I get down in the dumps, I do this often to try and help bring me back up. Sometimes it does help change my state of mind.

I also receive incentive gifts and gift cards for my time as part of the challenge. All of the thoughts, idea’s, and reviews and weightloss that I post are all my own honest results,opinions, and info.

I have been using the Your Shape for Wii fitness program for a little over 7 weeks now. I can definitely tell a change in my energy and have been feeling more active. I have changed my diet and been keeping track of my calories more and have been drinking a ton of water everyday, walking, and also cut wayyyyy back on soda.  My new healthier living lifestyle along with the Your Shape workouts have helped me to lose 12 pounds!

The your shape program puts a twist on all other Wii fitness programs. This one has a camera that hooks up easily to your Wii and you can see yourself side by side along with Jenny McCarthy on your television screen. It is really neat.  Seeing myself on camera and against Jenny’s fit body, motivated me to work out even more and to look like Jenny as a goal.

The only problem I have run into with this program has been the camera. It sometimes doesn’t pick up my moves and so it gives some wrong results, about how accurate my moves are. I do not let it frustrate me, I just modify my moves and keep on going with Jenny and keep with the work out.

I like that I have been able to use this program in my home. I am in PA and it has been a rough winter, so I haven’t been able to get out so much to do work outs or goto the gym as much. I enjoy being able to do this right at home. It has very modern, upbeat music that you can work out to. My children have sometimes even joined in.

Another of my favorite things about this program is how it has MANY different exercises. Do not get frustrated about not getting new ones right away, the more you use Your Shape, it seems the more you get to do. It took me a little while to figure this out.  Getting to do a new exercise is nice too. I like it to change it up a bit.

If your looking for an easy fitness program, this one may not be the one for you, however, if your like me, you can still do the work out with Jenny and just do it at your own pace.  Then as your more comfortable with it and get better at it, you can then start doing it at Jenny’s pace. Do not think that just because this is a “game” that it is going to be an easy peasy work out, cause that is not so at all! You WILL feel the “burn” and you will sweat, and you will see results with the Your Shape.

Some other equipment that I suggest you to buy along with this game, for maximum usage would be a body ball, weights (small hand type), and a step.
