I recently was sent a pair of KURU shoes to try out and do a review on. Right off the bat, I loved the look of them. The ones I chose to review are chocolate brown and a light blue. They are called the Kruzr II. The shoe box they come in is cute too. There is a bird on it. It is also made of recycled materials and can be recycled again! KURU has a committment to social and environmental causes, that a portion of your purchase can go to support, and what is neat is you can go to the KURU website (www.kurufootwear.com) and you can pick which cause you would like to help support. I thought this was kinda neat.
If you are interested in backgrounds of companies like I am you may be interested in the name KURU, and what it means ?
What is Kuru? Kuru [koo-roo] – City in Finland; known for environmental conservation and water so pure and clean one can drink directly from its streams. From the company : What is unique about Kuru? Kuru shoes are built on the World’s Most Anatomical Midsole for active footwear. This patent-pending technology is the most ergonomic and anatomically correct active midsole available. Designed to perform under all conditions, this technology will enhance any active pursuit. Whether you’re traveling, walking, hiking, or casually strolling across town, Kuru will take you there. FROM ME: I put the Kuru’s to the ultimate test. Las Vegas !!! I was at a conference in Las Vegas for Blog World Expo. 2009 and believe me, if there is one thing EVERYONE should know about Vegas, it is that there is a TON of walking!!! The Strip in Vegas where everything is happening is LONG and even from the monorail it is a long walk, more than I am used to. So comfortable shoes are a must! And let me tell you these shoes passed with flying colors! They were really comfortable for all the walking I did while there. I believe they saved my feet. I was able to endure all of it well. I am very happy I had my Kuru’s to take with me on this trip. They really supported my feet and my arches well. Another thing I like about them is that they go well with jeans and even if you put a dressier top on, they still look good.Kuru shoes are made for men and woman. They are reasonably priced (at about $80- $100/pr.), and definitely worth every penny. I will certainly be buying a few more pairs for me and my husband. I have gotten so many compliments on these shoes when I wear them. Everyone wants to know what KURU is all about. If you would like to read more and would like to know where you can buy a pair, just visit www.kurufootwear.com. Who knew that a cute shoe, with a cute name would be so comfortable!
