Of The Wing is the first book in a trilogy written by Georgia Anne Butler. It is about a girl who has a unique connection with birds. Especially birds of Prey. She can draw many birds to her with her keen “powers”. When a man seeks to kill a Red-Tailed Hawk, and who holds the answers to her questions, she may have to break her silence and give up her secret. This book is recommended for ages 9 and up. This book teaches children about the environment, and also about the friendship a girl named Claire has with birds.
