I discovered a new singing artist on Twitter today. Her name Marcome’, her voice simply beautiful, as is she. She has sweet soothing songs that totally set you free and at ease. She sent me her link to her fanpage http://www.marcome.com/river_of_soul_new_world_music.htm that I would love to also share with you as well.

Her music has a soulful grace about it, that helps you sit back and reflect about your life. Her voice and style of music reminds me of Enya. It is so dreamy.

Here is some more info. I would love to share with you from courtesy of her site about her album “River Of Soul”, and about Marcome’ as well.

River Of Soul
New World music at its best

Canada’s premiere New World music female vocalist Marcomé is proud to offer
you her latest, sophomore album, River of Soul. This music album successfully fuses the dreaminess of New Age music with the sultriness of World and boasts an exotic palette of Latin sounds, Middle-Eastern instrumentation, jazz and African rhythms. This blend establishes a fresh music genre in the process: songs for a New World music. Layered with Marcomé’s ethereal classical, operatic voice, River of Soul is a cinematographic universe laced with tasty melodies, infectious beats and rhythms. River of Soul is inspired from Marcomé’s many  travels around the world. It is an aural tapestry that seduces your ears, caresses your mind and encourages your heart!

Marcomé co-produced this album with Michel Robidoux (Leonard Cohen, Jean-Pierre Ferland), while including his exquisite guitar playing and Martin Lord Ferguson (Cirque du Soleil), River Of Soul also features the talents of Michel Dupire (Sarah McLachlan), on rhythms and percussions, Davy Gallant (Hart Rouge) on additional guitars along with François Myrand on cello and bass, Guido Del Fabbio on violin and Olivier Laroche on flutes.

Together, the eleven songs that comprise River Of Soulconjure up a wide world’s worth of human personal stories that are as unique as they are unforgettable. The songs are rich with abundant references to the natural world and connections to our spiritual and religious orientation. People have always used music as a source of reflection and ritual. There is a recurrent thread that runs through River Of Soul, it is the one of yearning toward life, love, nature and the universe. From the poignant ballad “Locked Inside” to the sultry Middle-Eastern influenced “Arabica” to the celebratory mantra of “River Of Life”, Marcomé’s second album recording shows an evolution beyond the realm of contemporary New Age music and heads down the road on an eclectic whole New World music journey.

Sit comfortably and let the soothing sounds of “Dawn’s Spirit”, “Learning To Fly” and “Elated” fuel your desires with inspiration and music that will fill your heart. The first single / music video “River Of Life” enjoyed extensive world wide airplay on commercial radio, satellite radio, Internet radio, music television stations and video websites around the world.

Marcome is a very kind person and I hope that more and more people will discover not only her talent for music but with words. They say it’s new age music, I say it’s a jazzy ethnic pop music. I love it and use it to unwind. Would recommend it if you like artist such as Yanni, Enigma, Deep Forest, Enya and even a touch of Pat Metheny.
