We all can remember when we were in Phy.’s Ed/Gym class in school and we played dodge ball. It was some pretty good times. I can remember a similar game called “octopus” that we played where if you got hit with the ball you had to sit and be like a baby octopi and so it made it more complicated for the opposing team to get caught because now, not only did they have to watch out to not get hit with a dodge ball but now if they came within arms reach of the octopi and were tapped they got out too! Those were some very fun times, which I enjoyed very much.I also enjoyed kickball.
Today, my children play these games or variations of it in school and love them too. But what happens when you can’t get outside to play? Back when I was younger, we would find rainy day things to do or watch television.
Well, these days we can still keep our kids somewhat active even while inside with the Wii. And to my delight there is a new game called Pirates vs. Ninja’s Dodgeball for the Wii. It is from South Peak games. It is rated E10+ (so for kids 10 and older is the recommendation). 
In this game the teams play in arena’s, and there are many mode’s of play so I can even enjoy it. To play you use the wii remote and throw,catch, and dodge your way to winning, just like regular dodgeball. There are options to play with up to 4 players. So it can be a ton of fun when your kids have friends over too.
And even though it is called Pirates vs. Ninja’s, there are also, robots, aliens, Zombies, Monsters, and Mushroom men.There are 8 arena’s to choose from and it is fun and easy to play.
My 10 and 12 yr. old sons just absolutely love it. They battle and come and tell me who is champion all the time!
My 12 yr. old son says his favorite part is the battle against the Pirates the best, and he likes to “be” a ninja the most. He says he likes how it “throws” just like in real dodgeball.
My 10 yr old son says he likes jumping over or catching a ball is his favorite part.
I wonder if while I am away at BlogHer if Gramma will get in on the action? I will have to ask when I call to get the daily scoop. 
Pirates vs. Ninja’s is a fast paced, fun, game for the Wii and my sons enjoy it thoroughly.
