Create a Healthy Meal or Snack – Share & WIN a Your Shape Game!

A couple weeks ago as part of the Your Shape Challenge I am in, the challengers were asked to come up with healthy snack idea’s.

I found nuts, Craisins, blueberry rice cakes, and dried fruits to be some healthy snacks that I loved to eat.

This upcoming week, we are going to be preparing healthy meals for our whole family to share as part of our challenge.

Also this week, I am getting to give away a copy of the YOUR SHAPE by Ubisoft for Wii game to one of YOU ;)

  5. My healthy snack is a whole wheat tortilla with 2% shredded cheddar cheese. Take one tortilla, use 2 tbsps. shredded cheese. Fold tortilla in half. Microwave in 15 second increments until cheese is gooey. Slice into wedges with pizza cutter and enjoy. Great snack for the kids after school.

    My “Get Healthy Tip” would be to make sure you drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. It helps hydrate and curbs cravings.

    I don’t care for almonds too much, but I know a lot of people love them. I love granola though ;) YUM!

  14. I Love apples and a peanut butter dip that I make using fat free greek yogurt and PB equal amounts. same great taste only creamier with the amount of calories and fat cut bu=y using half yogurt.

    My family healthy meal idea is to drink a cup of milk with each meal in addition to eating a healthy boiled (not microwaved) vegetable, a protein like fish.

    Dinner idea. boneless skinless chicken breast, trim all fat and then into stips, dip in water then roll in special K cereal flakes that have been mushed in a plastic bag, ad a dash of Ms dash for flavor. back covered. Fresh asparagus, carrots, squash and onions thrown together in a stone and covered to back with a spritz of I cant believe it’s not butter. For desert, sugar free jello with fresh fruit. The kids and DH love this meal, tons of flavor, filling, colorful and healthy. Enjoy it !

    We love veggies, cucumber slices, tomatoes, radishes, celery & carrots…I always have them handy, spray on a light mist of salad dressing if you need a little more flavor – the kids think its fun :)

    My favorite healthy meal & one the kids love is buffalo chicken salad…prepare the buffalo chicken with boneless skinless breasts, chill, throw in with a salad mix, spritz with dressing…delicious

    My favorite healthy tip is get out & do something with your family as much as possible, be in the fresh air, take a walk, play a sport, go to a festival, there are so many free events out there :)

    My healthy snack idea is to add spinach to your smoothie. You can’t even taste it and it adds a lot of nutrition to your smoothie.

    My healthy tip is to avoid soda if you can and drink sparkling water instead. You could add a splash of some citrus like lemon or orange to your sparkling water to add some taste to it.
