Beth Davis (Owner)

Beth Davis, @PlusSizeMommy, is a 35 year old Christian mommy of 4. Her children are ages 13, 11 (two boys) and 4yr. and a 2yr.. old (girls). She has been married to her husband (who is from Jamaica) for 14 years. She was also a Foster mommy to two adorable boys for a year. It was one of the hardest things in the world when they had to leave.

She likes to travel, swim, play computer games and board games, garden, take surveys and enter contests. She loves animals and spending time with family. She loves to do things in her church. She loves to scrapbook, although she never has enough time to do so. She likes to do crafts and cook and bake. She loves various types of music. She loves Steeler football. She is also very involved in her kids’ school PTO.

Beth has a degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Phoenix and loves to write.

Beth then decided to become a Stay at Home mom, so she can raise her children and not have someone else doing it. Her 3 yr. old daughter was born with birth defect in her lung and has undergone 2 lung surgeries at the age of 7 months, this is what ultimately made her decision to be a SAHM.

She has been extremely Blessed in her life and I she is humbled by everyone around her. She loves to learn about and tries to surround herself with people of various cultures to learn more about the world around her.

She was born and raised in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA. She loves doing what she can within her community and she loves to help others, that is her passion and mission in life. She loves to help people be happy.

Her philosophy in life is to never judge people.

Carissa Ferrucci-Beam (Chief Writer/Editor of All things Baby & Mommy to be)

I’m a mommy to be, a city girl married to a country boy turned semi-city slicker.  Passionate about marketing, PR, social media, and anything that involves interpersonal communication. Chief editor of TheBeamerBuzz.blogspot.com.  An avid Pittsburgh Steeler and NY Yankee fan. Italian Princess with a drive that leavesDale Earnhardt Jr in the dust and live by the words of my dad who always told me to grab life by the cannolis.

Holly Gernhardt (Chief Writer/Editor of all things Older Adult/Grandma)

Holly is a 63 yr. old Retired,  Mother of 2, Grandmother of 8. She loves sewing, reading, and cooking (especially desserts). She loves watching old movies and also Westerns. She spends a lot of time with her daughters and their families and enjoys reading and watching Sprout and Noggin with her Grandchildren. Before becoming retired she worked many years in Banking and also as a Secretary. She enjoys travelling and likes warm sunny weather. She makes a “BOMB” of a Jello salad and really great “cowboy” cookies. She is also an animal lover, but loves her 4 cats most of all.

ALENA H.  (Chief  TEEN Editor/Writer – All things Teen/Plus Size Teen)

My name is Alena. I am thirteen years old. I love the colors pink, orange, and red. I have many interests that include listening to any genre of music, playing soccer, basketball, and volleyball. Playing with my dogs Mike and Bella, shopping (I love new shoes and socks). My iPod is always in my pocket, and a book is always in my bag. I read any types of books including sports, romance, animals, music, or art. I enjoy cooking and baking, drawing, photography. I like to attend professional sports events including basketball, hockey,football, and soccer. I am really into what is new in fashion and doing different things with my hair.I like using tote bags to carry my stuff to and from school. I have fun hanging out with my friends, going to the movies, traveling, and going on Facebook, and texting on my cell phone.

Some of my favorite foods include cookies, carrots, cherries, chocolate, pasta, and pizza. In my spare time I like to play our Wii. When I am home I like to wear clothes that are loose and comfortable. When I goto school I like to wear jeans light or dark wash and usually a t-shirt of some sort. I like shirts with either a band or sports teams on them. I like to wear tennis shoes, such as Air Jordan’s, Nike, Adidas, or when I have to go somewhere nice, I will wear wedges. I like wearing plaid and solid colors.

I am extremely excited to have her on board to get another perspective on this blog. I think Plus Size Teens, especially in Fashion are very much “In” and need to have their voice heard. Not all Teens are size 3.
